Outram Park Fried Kway Teow Mee

Outram Park Fried Kway Teow Mee

The rumored best Fried Kway Teow Mee in Singapore can be found in here at Hong Lim Food Center. There are quite alot of local delicacies which can be found here and is a very busy area during weekdays as most offices are located nearby. I visited the stall during a Saturday around 11am, but the queue is already quite long. Waiting time for my food took about 5-10mins which is quite reasonable. There is a lady taking down orders so as to shorten the waiting time.

The fried kway teow which i observed, are cooked separately per order. All the eggs and noodles although are cooked together right at the start, but per portion of it will be cooked accordingly to the order. Hence, i must say this really take skills and good judgement of the heat so that the noodle wont be burned

With just cockles, noodles, bean sprouts, lots of garlic, lard, sweet soy sauce, chilli and some special sauces, such a wonderful dish is created. There are no chinese sausage or fish cakes served by this stall. The noodles are moist and eggy. You can find more lots of eggs covering the noodle. I like such a texture and it is sure additive. The sweet sauce is apply just at the right amount so that it wont be overly sweet. I really love it.

Verdict: 4 / 5
